Muhu has a vivid arts and crafts community. Muhu costumes, weaving, woodcarving, folk dance and music all play a big part in daily life on Muhu. 
Century old traditions have tanscended time and are pursued with great vigor. Muhu is also the summer home to a colony of artist from Tallinn who find inspiration on the Island.
