How to arrive
Ferry
Muhu Island is connected to the mainland by regular ferry service from Virtsu Port. The ferry journey takes about 25 minutes. If traveling by car, it is advisable to make a reservation, especially on weekends.
Boat
Muhu Island has three small ports suitable for both yachts and smaller boats.

Public transportation
Muhu Island can be easily reached by bus from Tallinn and other cities.
Sailing ship association
One can also sail to Muhu Island under the billowing sails – for this, an historical iceboat (uisk) needs to be summoned to the mainland.
Car
All major car rental companies (Hertz, Avis) have offices in Tallinn and Riga, and the roads are in good condition. It takes about two hours to drive from Tallinn to the Virtsu port and 3.5 hours from Riga.

Plane
Direct flights to Tallinn and Riga airports are available from most European cities. The Kuressaare Airport on our neighboring island, Saaremaa, is located 75 km away from Muhu and provides direct flights to Tallinn.
